All employers, including schools and child care centers, are required by Federal Law (CFR 29 1920.1200) to provide information to their employees about the hazardous chemicals to which they are exposed, by means of a hazard communication program (HCP). Chemicals such as bleach, gas, paint, rubber cement, ink, cleaning supplies, lab supplies, etc. have the potential for serious side effects. The HCP can be accomplished through forms of warning such as labels, material safety data sheets (MSDS), information, and training.
This manual includes all instructions for customization of the program, a copy of the law, training materials, transparencies, and some common MSDS that you will need to have on file to comply with Federal Law.
